What information do we collect?
When you engage with NBDSG either by phone, message, email, face to face our group Secretary will collect information with your consent to enable us to communicate with you i.e name, address, phone number, childrens name and date of birth etc. This information is used only for communication purposes and to provide activities to be accessed.
We only ever hold information with your consent and for the relevant purposes it is intended.
This information is NEVER passed on to a third party.
How do we use the information you have provided ?
The purpose of using the information you have provided to NBDSG is to keep you up to date with and ensure you receive information of groups activities, resources, external newsletters and relevant information passed through to the NBDSG from out side agencies for the purpose of training etc i.e Downs Syndrome Association, Inclusively Downs.
How long do we hold your data?
Your data will only be held while we have an active relationship with you and we do not hold information any longer than is necessary. You can ask to no longer receive information and have data erased at any time by contacting our group secretary Alison (admin@nbdsg.org.uk)
Periodically we will be in contact with all families on our list to ask if they wish to stay in touch and the option to come off our records list is made clear by email reply.
Your rights are important to us and therefore you may request to withdraw you consent for data to be held at any time.
For effective communication please ensure your details are up to date and email our group secretary of any changes.
